{"id":4883,"date":"2021-09-27T10:29:26","date_gmt":"2021-09-27T16:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vvconsultings.com\/?p=4883"},"modified":"2023-08-16T15:03:26","modified_gmt":"2023-08-16T21:03:26","slug":"rentabilidad-operativa-por-que-no-debo-enfocarme-solo-en-vender","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vvconsultings.com\/en\/rentabilidad-operativa-por-que-no-debo-enfocarme-solo-en-vender\/","title":{"rendered":"Rentabilidad Operativa: \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 no debo enfocarme s\u00f3lo en vender?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"twitter-share\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?via=vvconsultings\" class=\"twitter-share-button\">Tweet<\/a><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/vvconsultings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Rentabilidad-Operativa.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n<h2><b>Empecemos por lo b\u00e1sico sobre la rentabilidad operativa<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uno de los errores m\u00e1s grandes que cometen los due\u00f1os de empresas familiares es enfocar su estrategia en las ventas: vender a otros mercados, o \u00bfc\u00f3mo hacer para vender m\u00e1s en el mercado actual?. Aunque no est\u00e1 mal buscar oportunidades para mejorar las ventas; si est\u00e1 mal pensar que la estrategia financiera de la empresa se deba basar solamente en ese punto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es por esto que hoy vamos a hablar de la rentabilidad operativa; para entender m\u00e1s este concepto se debe empezar por lo m\u00e1s b\u00e1sico, el estado de p\u00e9rdidas y ganancias, o estado de resultados. Este es uno de los 4 estados financieros contables. De forma muy resumida; este se conforma por las ventas, el costo de la mercader\u00eda vendidas, los gastos, los gastos o ingresos por intereses, el diferencial cambiario, los impuestos y finalmente las ganancias o p\u00e9rdidas al final del per\u00edodo. Este estado es acumulado, o sea que analiza por a\u00f1o, pero los resultados se acumulan desde que se origina de la empresa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La utilidad operativa se obtiene de restarle a los ingresos (ventas-costo de la mercader\u00eda vendida o CMV), los gastos. Ejemplo, si la empresa \u201cXYZ\u201d tuvo ventas de 1mill\u00f3n y 700,000 de CMV, el ingreso bruto ser\u00eda de 300,000 (porque 1mill\u00f3n-700,000 es 300,000); luego hubo 100,000 de gastos, entonces la utilidad operativa fue de 200,000 ( 300,000 ingreso bruto-100,000 gastos). Por lo tanto las utilidades Netas, asumiendo que no hay gastos o ingresos por intereses o diferencial cambiario y que el impuesto es de 30%, ser\u00edan de 140,000 al final del per\u00edodo. De lo anterior entonces se puede concluir que el Margen de Utilidad Operativa (se obtiene de dividir 200,000 utilidad operativa\/1mill\u00f3n ventas *100 para convertirlo a porcentaje); es de 20%.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfComo debo interpretar el Margen de Utilidad Operativa (MUO)?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En el p\u00e1rrafo anterior se analiz\u00f3 el c\u00e1lculo, pero ahora vamos a entender que significa ese \u00faltimo porcentaje (20%). El margen de utilidad operativa mide la rentabilidad operativa, o sea este me dice cuanto gana la compa\u00f1\u00eda por cada d\u00f3lar (o cualquier divisa) de venta, despu\u00e9s de haber pagado los costos operacionales (por ejemplo, salarios, gastos administrativos, gastos por ventas, etc). El MUO me dice que tan eficiente es una empresa para generar ganancias usando solamente sus operaciones. Entre m\u00e1s alto es el MUO mejor manejo de los recursos hace la empresa porque significa que sobra suficiente para cubrir los gastos financieros y los diferenciales cambiarios negativos. Por lo general un MUO de m\u00e1s de 15% se considera bueno.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aunque no basta que sea alto, este debe analizarse de dos formas, primero compar\u00e1ndose con periodos anteriores; por ejemplo si enero del 2020 el MUO fue de 15% y enero del 2021 fue de 20% significa que, o se redujo el costo de la mercader\u00eda vendida, o se redujeron los gastos; y esto fue positivo porque hizo que la utilidad operativa mejorara y consecuentemente el margen fuera m\u00e1s alto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El segundo an\u00e1lisis deber ser una comparaci\u00f3n con la industria; si el MUO esta muy por debajo de los MUO de la industria, entonces est\u00e1 siendo m\u00e1s eficiente en sus operaciones a la hora de generar ingresos; esto significa que se debe buscar formas de mejorar la estrategia operativa de la empresa. Por el contrario, si el MUO es mucho m\u00e1s alto que la industria, estamos tiendo una ventaja competitiva con respecto a la competencia. Cuando es igual o cercano al MUO de la industria entonces el manejo operacional es similar a la competencia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoy se aprendi\u00f3 sobre el MUO y como analizarlo; y aunque es importante saber que con este indicador de rentabilidad por s\u00ed s\u00f3lo no basta.
